1) Not so much "computed", rather how they are stored in the bnf structure.
And this only concerns fundamental units. (S-units have already been updated
internally.)

2) In any case, this is a trivial part of the work of adapting Denis's
scripts. It has never been done due to the 100+ more urgent items in the
TODO list, but it's a 20-lines patch now, provided the behaviour is only
enabled by a special-purpose flag and we don't try to change everything
in all cases.

We still require somebody to invest ~3 months cleaning up/porting the scripts.
